presents
As OT’s we have to deal with a lot of uncertainty, and I think it’s time that we talked about it. Some days, you may be worried about the upcoming changes with NDIS – how will they impact your job? Other days it might be your clients – maybe you’re feeling out of your depth with a tricky case, or they’re a long-term client and you’re uncertain how to keep helping them. And of course, there’s the uncertainty when it comes to investing in professional development – how do you know what the right PD is for YOU? There’s so much information out there these days, how do you know what a good PD program looks like? How much should you be spending? And how do you decide what skillset you need to be focusing on this year?
Join me in a 3-part Q&A Series starting Monday 17 June to talk about the uncertainty we all feel as OT’s and how to convert that uncertainty to confidence!
I’ll be joined by some wonderful OT facilitators from the Kids OT Pod to discuss uncertainty in OT, and share some of the tools we have assembled over the years to help us move forward with confidence!
➡️ Monday, 17 June – Uncertainty in NDIS: How to cope with a changing landscape
➡️ Tuesday, 18 June – Uncertainty with Clients: What to do when you don’t know what to do
➡️ Wednesday, 19 June – Uncertainty with Training: How to know what PD to invest in
Hi, I’m Deb Hopper, The OT Mentor; a seasoned occupational therapist with 25 years experience, providing mentorship and guidance to occupational therapists and allied health assistants at every stage of their career, from students and new graduates to accomplished practitioners.
A skilled facilitator in the Kids OT Pod, Vonny is very well versed in NDIS. She is a longstanding practicing OT prior to the NDIS being formed – so she knows all about uncertainty and how to cope with a changing landscape.
We have a range of great speakers and facilitators in the Kids OT Pod who will be sharing their insights on this call. More details coming soon – watch this space!
In this workshop, we deep dive into executive functioning and the think-to tool:
I couldn’t have been luckier in finding and joining The Kids OT POD when I did. Deb and my Kids’ OT POD team have helped me feel confident in what I’m doing and achieving that elusive work-life balance!
I’m so glad I found this! As a new graduate, I’ve been looking for support the past few months as my service can’t recruit a senior OT.
